[18:50:53] <lehrblogger> Hi, I'm thinking of writing an XMPP client browser extension that integrates with Gmail. Users would sign in with whatever JID, and then it would display contacts above/below the Gchat contact list in the left sidebar, and conversations docked to the lower right corner of the browser window. The Gmail HTML/CSS/JS is pretty obfuscated, but perhaps I could reverse engineer some of it and re-use their UI, so then most of the work would be glue between that and Strophe. Does anyone know if this has been tried before? Does it sound like a great/terrible/exciting idea to anyone?
