[14:03:15] <esalazionehg> i have some problem with my gmail.com contacts on my jabber.org account: they are unreachable and it sais "404, remote server not found"
[14:04:10] <esalazionehg> it's happening only with my jabber.org contact, other XMPP servers are working well (tested by a friend of mine)
[14:04:33] <esalazionehg> and it's not a problem linked to the specific client i'm using (pidgin on Debian wheezy)

[14:07:40] <MattJ> I haven't checked it out this time, but generally it is, yes
[14:07:50] <MattJ> It stops working, and then it works again... without us doing anything
[14:08:57] <MattJ> I've been working with some other servers that are sometimes affected, if I get anywhere with tracking down the problem then hopefully it can help jabber.org too
[14:10:08] <MattJ> But ultimately all the evidence I've seen so far points to it being a bug on Google's servers

[20:03:21] <Kev> Ghosts are a possible artifact, yes. Changing nick will certainly make things go wrong.
