that in the session-initiate you're probably lost anyway...

compression would probably be a separate layer, wouldn't it? I thought multiple files in this case was specifically about
either adding them to the stream at very different times, or giving the receiver a choice of when/whether to receive which
file. I don't think that interacts very well.
