[04:04:17] <darkrain> You can create your own room on a number of open conference servers, including jabber.org's, or you could set up your own XMPP server, which can be relatively easy, too.

[04:54:58] <darkrain> monroe61032: Not that I know of. Basically, in a client, join a room that doesn't exist. You should be prompted when you join to configure some settings for the room (like making it persistent, so it remains around even if empty), and by default you're the owner of the room
