[02:04:08] <garfield36386> the first time not, then agein with another Username over https://register.jabber.org/. But it's the same thing: Emphathy tries to connect but always states a network Error after 1/4 Second (tries to connect three times). Any Idea?

My next problem is to leave this session (q, exit, etc. don't work). You see i'm a newbie to telnet too.

[02:19:57] <garfield36386> I got out of telnet, thanks. Hm, the connection works but there is still an network error. No great hint as You said. So it would be a good Idea to look in the Ubuntu/Emphaty help pages? Or other way round, can yoo recommend a client?
[02:21:50] <MattJ> I use Gajim, and Pidgin is a popular one (it used to be the Ubuntu default before they switched to Empathy)

[02:22:53] <MattJ> Pidgin probably integrates with the messaging menu, I'm not sure about Gajim (although I use Ubuntu I don't use the standard interface)
